Pixel Art Contest!

Hello again you wonderful people! (And the rest of you too, I suppose…)

Well the season is in full swing, and things are going great! Now that you have all had the chance to stretch those creative muscles, we’d like to introduce you to a brand new contest!

This event is starting right now, and ending <t:1774488600:F>!

We are currently working on a small something behind the scenes. a Downriver recommended mod-list, and with it we plan to include an Official Downriver resource pack!

We would love to get your recommendations for things to include. Alongside that, we would also love to see some art to replace a few of the original Minecraft paintings! Art, more specifically made by YOU! you can submit them in the Art Contest channel on Discord!

We are looking for one of each of the following sizes, you are free to make either just one piece or a piece for each size option, that choice is up to you! We will accept works made via digital drawing, or even beautiful in-game photographs that have been pixelated to match the classic Minecraft painting style, so long as it was made by you, we’ll take it! This does mean that AI generated artwork will not be accepted! The victor of each size will receive a different reward! From diamonds, to a custom weapon that puts your artistic talents on display for all to see!

16 x 16 pixel (1 block by 1 block) - the smallest paintings, but not to be underestimated! A canvas of this size is certainly a challenge! - The winner in this category gets 16 diamond blocks!

32 x 32 (2 blocks by 2 blocks ) - We all have one of these hanging in one of our houses somewhere! The fan favorite for hidden doors… The winner in this category will get 32 diamond blocks!

64 x 32 (4 blocks long, by 2 blocks tall - Ah the classics, long, detailed, and notoriously difficult to fit into a living room…

the winner in this category gets a pair of The Hero’s Boots!

64 x 64 (4 blocks by 4 blocks) - the mother of all minecraft paintings, finding a wall grand enough for one of these bad boys? Forget about it! - The winner in this category will get a unique 1 of 1 weapon!

Custom category - Pick a size! Any of the available minecraft painting sizes you like! Even if it’s not listed here, we’ll accept any size or submission, and reward you for your effort if it’s included in the final pack! You can submit as many works as you like! No limits on creativity! 

The only rules we have for this contest are: Please do not submit AI generated artwork as your own, and do your best!
