🚀 Player Stats, Website Upgrades & Infrastructure Migration!

DownRiver has a huge update to share this week — one of the biggest non-map updates we’ve rolled out in a long time.

We’ve:

• 🌐 Upgraded the website
• 📊 Introduced full player profiles & stat tracking
• 🖥️ Migrated our entire web stack to our own VPS infrastructure

This update is all about one thing:
making DownRiver feel bigger, more connected, and more player-focused — both in-game and online.

🏠 A Better Home for DownRiver Online

We’ve officially migrated our website and supporting services off hosted infrastructure and onto our own VPS.

⚠️ The Minecraft server itself is unchanged — this only affects everything around it.

What this means:

• 🛠️ Full control over our web systems
• 🚀 Faster iteration and feature development
• 🔧 Infrastructure we can expand and maintain ourselves
• 🔗 Better integration with Discord and future tools

What was moved:

• Website frontend & backend
• Database powering web features
• Discord slash-command bot

This is a foundational upgrade — most of the value here is what it enables next.

📊 New Player Stats & Profiles

This is the biggest player-facing feature in the update.

Player profiles now:

• Pull live tracked data from the server plugin
• Present stats in a clean, visual format
• Turn your activity into a real progression-based profile

• 🎣 Fishing totals
• 🧭 Travel stats (walk, sprint, fly, swim)

• 👁️ Optional public visibility
• 📍 Base & Nether roof markers
• 🧍 Profile pose customization

Some stats reflect long-term history, while others will improve as more live data syncs in. Please note that we will be expanding the progression unlocks over time, and the current ones are just a taste of what is to come!

Beyond profiles, we’ve made major upgrades across the site:

🎮 Using /dr mystats

This is your in-game control center for everything profile-related.

Commands:

• /dr mystats status
  → Check if your profile is public
• /dr mystats public on
  → Enable your public profile
• /dr mystats public off
  → Hide your profile
• /dr mystats link
  → Generate a code to link your account
• /dr mystats markbase
  → Save your base location
• /dr mystats markroof
  → Save your Nether roof marker

⚠️ Your profile must be set to public to appear on the website.

🧭 Quick Setup Guide

Get your profile live in under a minute:

1. Join the server
2. Run /dr mystats public on
3. Run /dr mystats link
4. Log into the website with Discord
5. Open your player page
6. Enter your link code
7. (Optional) Add base/roof markers

Once linked:

• Your stats sync automatically
• Your profile becomes publicly viewable
• You can customize how you appear

As this system rolls out:
